NHN Commerce (CEO Lee Yoon-sik) announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with Afreeca TV to strengthen the competitiveness of live commerce.

The two companies have started to build strategic partnerships to support more efficient sales activities by reflecting customer needs for live commerce. Based on this business agreement, we plan to support marketing services for NHN Commerce customers, and we plan to prepare ways to grow sales of customers using live commerce in the future.

To this end, ▲ will support digital conversion technology for e-commerce customers ▲ promote new businesses based on joint marketing and strategies to attract customers ▲ support additional services for e-commerce operators.

Recently, Afreeca TV’s media commerce platform “Shop Africa” conducted a site renewal through NHN Commerce’s shopping mall solution “Shop by Premium.” With this renewal, more than 100,000 customers who use NHN Commerce Solution can enter Shop Africa through a simple entry process.

The two companies will support NHN Commerce’s customers’ expansion of sales with Shop Africa’s live commerce function that is exposed to Afreeca TV members.

NHN Commerce CEO Lee Yoon-sik said, “We are happy to provide more diverse services to our customers through a business agreement with Afreeca TV. Based on this agreement, NHN Commerce will continue to grow into an e-commerce all-in-one platform by further expanding its service area to support enterprise-sized companies.”

Jung Chan-yong, CEO of Afreeca TV, said, “It is expected that the media commerce platform will be expanded in earnest through ‘Shop Africa’, which was newly renovated in collaboration with NHN Commerce,” adding, “We plan to further upgrade the commerce ecosystem around BJ and content and continue to build Africa TV’s own media commerce platform.”
