Hue Pay X, a virtual asset payment company, announced on the 22nd that it will release “Shuffle Card,” a prepaid card that can be charged and paid using various cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and Clay.

The company said, “The prepaid charging card, which has been represented by the ‘ㅇ Pay Card’, has expanded its position based on various benefits and affiliate marketing, but this is the first time that charging and payment can be made with various cryptocurrencies at home and abroad.”

Up to 5% of the card will be set aside as cryptocurrency depending on the previous month’s performance if you register and pay with Hue Pay X’s simple payment service Shuffle, and 100% of the amount will be provided in the form of payback if you apply for regular payment for subscription services such as Coupang Wow Membership and Netflix. In addition, this shuffle card is expected to be the first in the industry to have personalization functions such as card customization through NFT.

The issuance of shuffle cards will take place on a first-come, first-served basis, and applications for advance applications and reservations will be received through the official website and shuffle app from August 9. There is no annual fee.

In particular, the industry suggested that the release of shuffle cards can be seen as an example of a representative ‘cooperation + competition’ between technology companies and the financial sector. It is to increase the size of the platform by utilizing new technologies such as blockchain, while simultaneously enhancing market trust and maximizing mutual business expansion within the system through collaboration with the financial sector.

Meanwhile, HuPayEX said, “Last year, cryptocurrency and credit card transactions amounted to $2.5 billion (about KRW 3 trillion) per year, and simple payment usage exceeded KRW 200 trillion per year in Korea, proving the value of cryptocurrency and simple payment as the main means of payment.”
