KT announced on the 17th that it will introduce next-generation Internet solutions at the global telecommunications exhibition ‘Network X 2022’ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from the 18th to the 20th (local time).
KT will introduce ▶ intelligent control-based micro OLT solution ▶ Biz customized Wi-Fi solution developed with domestic small and medium-sized enterprises as part of the “Next Generation Internet Advancement Project” promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Intelligence and Social Security Agency (NIA).
Micro OLT (Light Line Termination Device) is a micro-sized solution optimized for island areas and in-building environments. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been applied to detect network failures that occur at long distances in real time and enable stable operation. The solution can be used to convert the cables in the building’s already built-in traffic into optical cables, or to upgrade the communication infrastructure in the island area.
Biz customized Wi-Fi is a solution that provides three frequency bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) at the same time, customizing frequencies according to service usage environments such as small and medium-sized stores, companies, and public institutions. In addition, application services such as attendance management to corporate customers, simple access authentication, and visitor management can be selectively provided to store customers according to their needs.
“The next-generation Internet solutions developed this time are differentiated technologies that can contribute to revitalizing the domestic telecommunications equipment industry in the B2B and B2C markets,” said Lee Jong-sik, head of the KT Convergence Technology Institute.
