Clayton, a blockchain platform under Kakao, announced on the 25th that it will hold the global hackathon “KLAYMAKERS22” in collaboration with Dorahacks, a global hackathon operator and web3 developer community.

This hackathon will provide more than 1 million dollars (about 1.3 billion won) in total, including basic prize money, investment, and incubation programs.

The kickoff ceremony, which marks the start of Hackathon, will be broadcast live on YouTube at 5 p.m. on the 29th, and Seo Sang-min, chairman of the Clayton Foundation, and others will participate as speakers.

Clayton will actively support on-boarding of existing Web2 developers through Hackathon, develop Clayton-based dApps based on the participation of Web3 developers, secure related real-life cases, and explore the possibility of applying blockchain technology.

Those who wish to participate in Hackathon can choose from five tracks: ▲ Clayton Core+ ▲ Metaverse & NFT ▲ Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) ▲ Finance ▲ Public Goods. The application and deadline period is from the 29th to the 30th of next month. Demo Day falls on October 3, and the final winner will be announced a week later on October 10.

A Clayton official said, “We hope that Clayton Makers 22 will not only serve as an opportunity to discover excellent projects, but also serve as a venue for information exchange for blockchain developers. We will continue to expand the Clayton ecosystem through close cooperation with partners.”
