Korea CIO Summit held in Hanoi

Park Bong-kyu, chairman of the Korea CIO Summit, said on the 31st that he held a meeting in Hanoi to prevent Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viett on the 30th and to discuss holding the “Hanoi Urban Culture Convergence Conference, CICON Hanoi 2022″ in Hanoi on December 20-22.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, the meeting strengthened cooperation for the development of the cultural industry between the two countries and agreed on various contents on CICON Hanoi 2022.

The meeting was played by Jang Hyun-jin, a professor at Jeonju University, who has long had exchanges with the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture.

At the meeting, Chairman Park said, “It is an opportunity for the two countries to hold many events to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam,” and suggested to Vice Minister Doan Van Viet, “Let’s hold the CICON Hanoi 2022 in Hanoi from December 20-22.

Park also asked for cooperation in meeting Vietnam’s president and prime minister to hold the conference and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Korea CiO Summit and Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture for practical and effective implementation.

Vice Minister Doan Van Viet said, “I am happy to meet Park Bong-kyu, chairman of Korea CiO Summit, who has successfully held conferences with countries around the world,” adding, “As of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Korea and Vietnam have achieved a lot in the field of culture and tourism as well as the economy.” The most important thing to maintain and promote this continuously is mutual support for the development of the cultural industry of the two countries.”


“To mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Korea hopes to cooperate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and Foreign Affairs to discuss and hold more commemorative activities to develop and solidify bilateral relations,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Chairman Park Bong-kyu visited Ambassador Park No-wan of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam on the 29th, explained the outline of the event on the hosting of CICON Hanoi 2022 and asked for administrative cooperation from the government.
