Hash Brand, a blockchain company, announced on the 25th that it will cooperate with Bitkub Group in Thailand to expand its global business.

Hashbrand signed a strategic partnership agreement with Bitkub Group, which operates Thailand’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, on the 5th. With this business agreement, Hash Brand and Bitkub decided to actively cooperate to create synergy effect by fully launching NFT business, which is a strategic business area between the two companies.

Bitkub Group operates Bitkub, a cryptocurrency exchange that accounts for 95% of the market share in Thailand, and has more than 3 million global users. In addition, the Bitkub NFT exchange leads the NFT industry in Thailand, surpassing the market share of the global exchange Open in Thailand.

Through this agreement, Bitkub Group plans to further solidify its No. 1 status in Thailand by learning the know-how of hash brands’ NFT business and listing various NFT projects on its NFT exchange.

The main contents of the partnership agreement include listing Angry Polar Bears NFT collection on the △Bitkub NFT exchange △Community marketing collaboration and overseas network establishment △Various NFT-based IP-related collaboration △Korean companies’ support to enter Thailand and Southeast Asian markets. The NFT project “Angry Polar Bears,” which aims to support the company’s Web 3.0, was sold out in just one second in February, and ranked second in trading volume in OpenC.

Hwang Byung-dae, CEO of hash brand, said, “At a time when the popularity of Korean content is spreading globally, collaboration with Bitkub Group is meaningful,” adding, “Based on the successful global NFT project, we will help companies enter the world as well as Web 3.0.”

Meanwhile, in November last year, Siam Commercial Bank Group, Thailand’s largest bank, announced that it would acquire a 51% stake in Bitkub Group, valuing its corporate value at more than KRW 1 trillion, making Bitkub the second unicorn company in Thailand and infrastructure company in the financial industry.
