On the road again!

Nous revoilà sur la route!

We flew to Berlin, to attend the Hub Berlin conference organised on November 28th. It was an event dedicated to digital companies and startups and many players in the tech-field were there. We arrived in Berlin by plane on November 27th and we went directly to a dinner prepared for the speakers of the event. It was dinner for all speakers of the event. If we remember correctly, I guess there were about 50 Speakers, maybe a few more. On the next day, we woke up early and started practising our speech in the living room of our Airbnb. We made some final adjustements to our Presentation and did at least 10 practise-rounds.

The topic of our presentation was: “How do we get the average Joe to use augmented reality everyday?” We prepared a 20-minute presentation, talked about the Augmented Reality industry in general, moved to social consumer products and then to showed a sneak peak of our social media app, Paperplane. This was the second time we went on stage in front of a large public.

At 3.30pm, we went to Station Berlin. It was a large conference center, that had a little bit of the nice Berlin-feel to it with a bunch of Brick-walls and Fabrik like look to it. Very Nice. Once we got there, we were immediately escorted to the Speakers-lounge and were given some technical instructions on how to do the presentation. We have to admit, we were slightly nervous before the presentation.

Our presentation went very well. The attendees really liked our dynamic and colourful presentation. We received a lot of positive feedback and several companies approached us later, interested in what Paperplane does and potential partnerships that could be made. It was the second time that we've been contacted to be speakers, and every time, we are really happy to present our new augmented reality platform, Paperplane, during these events. It is very difficult to succeed in the technology field, so sharing knowledge and working together is always been a important to us.

10 hours after the presentation our flight went back to Nice. We used this time to explore a little bit of Berlin. Went to the Reichstag, saw the Brandenburger Tor and even went to a lovely German Christmas market. It was freezing, but hey, the complete trip was totally worth it!
